Hello June!

June is here and The Seamstress is going to have a sardine-packed schedule. School, exam, sewing orders, 9-5 job, babysitting kids, travel agency, wedding preparation and the list will tax you.

Despite the usual routines, we are squeezing in 14 and 15 June to participate in a bazaar at UKM and also 26 June at Urbanscapes KLPac. So be there to support us and the handmade industry!

Bollywood Fever

Hi all, after a long hiatus, we are back with some new sewing projects. This satin skirt is made for a friend's Bollywood Night event. It is a 360° full circle skirt, at its simplest form, without laces or anything glitters. We are thinking of ornamenting the skirt with something gold in colour to perfect the Bollywood look.

..and..

the bikini is our first attempt to make something for our customer to match her Beach Bag and much to our surprise the bikini turns out ok, and wearable. We don't know how it's gonna look in the water but it looks okay on Manny. That's all for now as we are going to swim in fat books for exams.

Can't wait to see the owner wears this :)

compartment in mahallah. Instead of using velcro, I used

fabric-covered buttons for closure.

Organizer Cover

This is an organizer cover ordered from Kak Hanum. She designed the whole look for this cover, chose the fabric and yours truly sewn Kak Hanum's creativity into what you see here. As requested, a huge wooden button is placed at the front cover and a slip pocket is made to hide notes or anything one wish to sneak into. The whole cover is lined with fibre batting so it feels pillow-y..

... & the are small compartments for pens and handphone as you can see above,

& at the back in a small slot for business cards.

We must say it is a challenge but we also must admit that it was pure joy to see the outcome!
So Kak Hanum, Iti & Irah hope you like this cover even though its been in the pipeline for quite some time!
